I hope this is in the right place, I thought as it will work with the One Click Backup Programmes it is usefull.
AnyDVD
...unprotecting DVDs in seconds!
What about immediately watching your favourite movie on your PC without ripping for 60 minutes? Insert your CSS- (Content Scrambling System) and RPC (Region Code Protected) - protected DVD into your DVD drive. AnyDVD will detect it and automatically remove the protection. It only takes a few seconds. Even if your drive is not region-free, immediately you'll get a chance to watch movies that don't match your drives region code!
If you have installed a player software the movie will start before you've had a chance to take a seat.
What about copying your favourite movie onto a DVD recordable without ripping it onto your hard disk before? Insert your CSS- (Content Scrambling System) and RPC (Region Code Protected) - protected DVD into your DVD drive. AnyDVD will detect it and automatically remove the protection. It only takes a few seconds. Even if your drive is not region-free, you'll now get a chance to copy movies that don't match your drives region code!
Start your copying software now and load the video title you would like to copy. You do not have to copy it to your hard disk before. It is already cracked! While copying the main movie to a DVD recordable, AnyDVD will decrypt the protected data "on the fly". As a result you'll have an unprotected DVD in your hands.
Features
Removes encription (CSS) and region code (RPC) from DVDs
Removes constrained subtitles, waiting time and other limitations
Works as a driver in the background
Decrypts WITHOUT having to save the data onto the hard disk
Decrypts "on the fly"
Works with all DVDs
Works with all DVD-drives (no drives with ASPI driver from ADAPTEC), no matter what region code it has
Works with every DVD copying and player software (e.g. CloneDVD)

Nice tool but it's not working for me no way to copy a dvd with clonedvd or dvd20ne.....
Worked fine for me with CloneDVD and DVD2One, ripped straight from the DVDRom, I have also played region 1 & 2 DVD's without any problems.

AnyDvd running try to rip with dvd2one
DVD2one
---------------------------
DVD2one can not read directly from a protected DVD.
You need to copy the files to the harddrive.
I have not tried the region free feature since all I have are region-1 DVDs. But the decss feature works very nice with DVD2One. I am running win2000sp3 and my dvdrom is liteon 166s.

Nice little program. It works fine for me with DVD2One. It also fixed the preview problem I had in DCS/DVD95Copy, when previewing straight from the disk. I have a feeling that "invalid file format" PowerDVD error with DCS/DVD95Copy done straight from the disk, will be gone too.

Only draw back is that it takes DVD2One a lot longer to do everything. It took it 15 minutes to scan the movie straight from the disk with AnyDVD. The the completion time for compression is off the meter. I'll see if it changes while it runs.
Update*
Sorry its taking too long. 95mins !!

I tested this and it worked with CloneDVD and DVD2One. Do you have the program enabled? The fox in system tray should be red. In the settings "Analog Protection System" should be on.
It slowed CloneDVDs process to about 35mins. Where as DVD2One was stating 95mins, not including 15mins that DVD2One spent scanning first. DVD95Copys time was not affected. I no longer get the "invalid file format" PowerDVD error after using DVD95Copy running straight from the disk. I think $39 bucks is a pretty high price tag for what AnyDVD actually does.
I still don't know why DVD2One was going so slow with this. DVD95Copy took the same amount of time it usually does.

Yeah I definitely give AnyDVD two thumbs down. Took me an 1 1/2 to do a full movie with DVD2one. When I use anyDVD with clonedDVD the DVD's files won't play in Power DVD or my player.. The error I get is "This Player is incomaptible with the region marking on this disc. Yet when I did the same DVD with anydvd and instantcopy they play fine.
DVD Decrypter 12 mins to rip dvd2one 25 mins to process... Will stick with this.

and it's called DVDSynth - the homepage used to be http://www.roundelay.net/dvdsynth/prerelease.html but is dead now, still I am sure you can find the needed files somewhere (look at the cached version in Google to know what to search for).
The software sported exactly the same features and was FREE!!! I highly suspect this AnyDVD is just modified version (the DVDSynth even worked on Win 9x systems) - now only if I could remember the license for the original...
If there is a need I have the copy of it somewhere... A way to save $39 ;-)
Update: If you want it, go here _http://imperialviolet.org/page7.html and scroll down a bit. They still have it

Okay, looked at it again and got it to work.
$39.00 and 90 minutes for dvd2one.....fagidaboutit! :scared:
Dvddecrypt/dvd2one takes half the time.
What am I/we missing regarding this tools benifits?

according to a post in this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=56955 the user prohibition removal (one of the features I'd consider interesting in this tool) doesn't work properly (yet?). I doubt that on the fly ripping is really that much of a timesafer (but when I tried dvdshrink which can do that out of the box, I tought it was rather fast) to spend $39, but region code (great for all people having an RPC-2 drive) and user prohibition removal (great for all the Disneys, Fox'es and distributors who are too cheap to buy a full license for a title without forced subs) are rather interesting.
I guess it would be interesting to compare the time difference between the dvdshrink - dvdshrink & anydvd combo. Those processing times reported seem to be very high.

On the time I was checking them (few month ago) they worked. It seems the DVDSynth went dead but still you can find the binaries on the link posted above and test them... Also any interested programmers can take a look at source code of it.

I just tried the same things with DVDsynth and the only one that seemed to work(at least the scanning) was DVD2One :( . CloneDVD didnt work and I was back to my same problems with DVD95Copy.

I agree with most of the criticism about AnyDVD, especially the pricing, but I have read on this site and others, of many people who want a simple one or maybe even a couple of clicks programme to convert their DVD's and thought that maybe, AnyDVD combined with CloneDVD or any of the other transcoders would be would be a good solution for them.
I personally hardly ever use any of the transcoders and have been using CCE for quite a while, imho it is still the best, but this doesn’t stop me trying all the new programmes in the hope that eventually someone will come up with a better way, and because I am just simply interested.

Strange this. I did Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Played back fine on my Sony 705, yet I loaned copy to friend who has Sony 300 and he experienced your problem. Is this a software or hardware problem????
