Very nice GUI for general job setup and audience editing! If you have not tried it already, please do. I also really like the AviSynth script generator, with accurate aspect ratio and resize information.
Hey
In order to implement Anamorphic resize, i need to know all dvd format, i find three:
2.35:1
1.85:1
1.33:1
Is there a 4th one? What is it?
Thx for answers

Depending how people crop into the image area these standard values will not work. Instead, they will have to calculate them by hand. (A calculator!)
BTW if you allow to resize by producer instead of avisynth, you already supprot anamorphic resizing. When one selects a larger resolution than that of the source. Producer will NOT resize but add an aspect-ratio flag value.
Thanx for your nice program!
No need to calculate by hand :)
That's why i need to know those format....Is there a 4th one?
I've made some test and even with crop the producer resize keeps aspect ratio :)

Depending on how I crop my image, I simply need another aspect ratio than those usual ones. :)
Ok the 4th one is 1.78:1 :)
That works well, no matter the crop u put :)
Let me finish the V0.4 and test :)

You have many more of them! One is (about) 2.15:1 for example. There's a webpage listing the AR's of many movies, although I don't have the link any more.

how's resizing currently done with your tool? Does it use avisynth or producer to resize?
U can use both, there's a complete avisynth script generator with now accurate aspect ratio etc.... :)
But if u'd like to use anamorphic resize u can for sure :)
Let me finish this version that will include:
- Audio multi channels
- Video dropdupe
- Anamorphic resize
- And this resize part i tell about
I'll make a tutor too, just need a little time to finish ;)
That's it HPG 1.0 is out :D :D
http://helixproducergui.fr.st
with many more options like multi-channel, dropdupe etc....
Take a look and try :D

HelixproducerGUI (HPG) is a great GUI for producer.exe. it even as moderate interaction with and support for avisynth scripts. definitely worth using if you encode videos to realvideo and especially since RV9-EHQ is out. I'm still wondering why use Helix? Producer Basic or buy Helix? Producer Plus when you have HelixproducerGUI by TFC for free and with almost no limitations.
:o
Good job TFC!
for more on the development on HPG visit the helixcommunity irc | irc.helixcommuinty.org #helix
Thx Phrentec nice that u like HPG :D
Plz don't give direct links coz i want ppl to read all stuff thay have to read ;)
Feel free to let a post in the forum of HPG :)

Heh, even though we have been using EHQ and dropdupe for what may seem like... forever... Remember that these are still exteamly new capabilites. I'm sure that only a handful of people outside of this forum, know or even care that these capailites exist. Helix Producer Pro GUI, just hasn't been updated yet.
Why use Helix GUI or buy it for that matter? I'm not intending to step on anyones toes here, but IMO Helix Producer Pro GUI is more polished, usable, and less error prone. How many of the user created GUI's can do live encoding, capture from a video card, or for that matter accept any input other than .d2v, .avs, or .wav? My point isn't that the user created GUI's are limited in their fuctionality, but rather targeted to the needs of the readers of this forum. Likewise, Real's target audience is everyone, not just us dvd ripping junkies :)
$200 for Helix GUI is extreamly modest, from that view point. But for us dvd rippers, who don't need a lot of the features, its an unnessary expense.
Keep up the good work TFC, Sirber, Dark cracker, et all... :)

Just a small "bug" I've noticed. In the bitrate calculation window, when the bitrate is calculated it is displayed as bits per second and then inserted into the xml project thingy as kilobits per second.
Thanks :)
Maybe u want to say that it's calculated in Kb/s and inserted in Audience file as b/s ;)
That's not a bug that's normal :D

Is it not allowed having source files and target files on network drive ? Same AVS script is working fine in VdubMod, but does not contain audio. First is complained it need an 'audience file' so i select one, but AVS contains no audio, only video. So i ticked 'disable audio', but still the GUI requests audience file ?

I think you need to use a HPG1.1 produced audience, if you use HPG. At least I seem to recall TFC saying that at some point.

Well, you got this error from a job file encoding isn'it?
Maybe you don't create your audience with HPG...If you wish to create a Job file with HPG, you have to use an audience file created with it!
For a video only encoding:
you can create a video only avs script without selecting any wav file, set your audience as a "audio-video" audience (set in presentation type), then create your job file using audience you just made.
"Ctrl + J" or "File >> Encode Job file", select the job file you just created.cross your fingers :D.Press yes
Like this you can set two (or more) more job with "audio only" and select a wav as input file and real media file as output, Open the batch Job file encoding part ("Ctrl + B" or "Tools >> Batch Job file encoding", select your job files in order you wish to encode them, start encoding :)
EDIT: Job file creation not yet compatible with ogg and lossless audiences. Will be in next realease :)

No. I was wanting to test RV9 encoding, as now i can mux in MKV, to compare with XviD. I opened same AVS as i was using in VdubMod before for XviD 2 pass encoding.

Can i not use existing AVS ? Must make new AVS with HPG for testing ?

This is what i do, and resulted in above error message :
input file : my AVS
output file : matrixtrailer.rmvb
audience : Vorbis 56k Dial-up Audio.rpad
The i go : 'start encoding'
It makes no difference if i tick 'disable audio' or not, encoding window starts, than stops after few seconds.

I will use BeSweet for this, for normalizing, resampling etc ....

Sorry, i have not understood what audience file is :( ...
Now i have made my own audience file with the 'audience generator', setting 'presentation type' to 'audio - video', 'RV9' as video codec and 'VBRbitrate'. Other settings are :
4000
500
100
60
25
100
EHQ 85
and loss protection 'enabled'
Audio is set to 'music', 'stereo', '96 kbps-RA8'
and i saved it with a new name and load it into the GUI.
The original source was MOV file, but its a AVI file now, with WAV PCM sound and DV compressed video. AVS loads good in Virtualdub, works perfect, with WinDV codec installed ( it shows in Virtualdub for compression also ).
This time error is :

Mmh producer doesn't support less than 24b color, i'm not really sure, Karll could answer for sure.
its a AVI file now, with WAV PCM sound and DV compressed video
Did you try to encode your file without the sound? only the video without any audio stream in....
Think you have to make some more test
