Has anyone with that card was able to get AC3 output to amp using the optical output or the spdif outout ?
I just cant seem to get a dolby digital signal in my amp, only PCM.
Any ideas?

if you enable spdif with that checkbox on your attachedm pic, you just activated spdif output. that doesnt mean you got dolby. you need an ac3 filter that doesn't encode the signal but forwards it to the receiver. otherwise you get plain decoded pcm, which is not recognized as dolby digital by your reveiver. the only filter that seemed to work in my case was the one that came with the bundled software (windvd). when installing there is an option just to install the dll's. if you guys use power dvd then there is an option in the preferences to activate spdif, too. in wmp it's works fine with just the dll's.

I finally worked it out.
If anyone wants to know I installed ac3filter from ac3filter.sourceforge.net
and then I changed the output to SPDIF.
It still didnt work so I changed the default audio renderer from Direct Sound to Wave out and it worked.
