Best Filter/Settings Site?

Are there any sites that give the best filter or settings to use for each movie (Preferably XViD)? Movies are categorized by name, users post their settings and people can compare the result. It would really help if a site like this exist. Any help would be great.

No and it wouldn't work either. Just one big mess and lots of stupid flame wars. It's also impossible to tell what are best/perfect settings.

Default settings and very simple avisynth script works just fine in most cases but anime is ofcourse totally different thing...

Personally i don't use any filters for high quality dvd sources.

Granted that it would be impossible for the best settings but i'm sure there would be a consensus on which settings would work best. Anyways, I'm disappointed that there isn't a site like that.

As with filters, I don't use them as well, default seems to work great so far.

I'm glad you brought up anime because I was thinking of ripping The Simpson DVDs and I've never tried anime/animation before. Why is it difference?

Filtering is more of an Avisynth issue. To find more on the issue search for 'anime' and 'encoding'. There are a lot of posts addressing the issue.

You could even ask a fansub encoder ;)
