Umax Yamada and DiVx Settings

Hiya, stupid question and sorry if its in wrong forum.

I have the simpsons series 2 dvd box set and I want to backup the set to one dvd (there 4). so I can watch them one after the other without getting up (sad I know)

I have the Umax Yamada DVD/Divx player.

What are my best options, eg. which software to rencode.

What are the best settings for Divx4/5 for this (screen res., compression etc)

Soz 4 being thick, Im quite good at whole DVD backups, anyhelp guys,

use the home theatre profile in divx5 and you shouldn't have any problems. Enabling that profile will ensure that you cannot chose settings that your player won't be able to handle (in theory). And of course, GKnot is my favorite app for the job.
