I've been using DVDxCopy for a while without much problem. However lately, it keeps crashing every time I try to split a dvd from a virtual dvd drive. DVDxcopy will recognize the vitual drive and load the files on the selection list. But if I try to view any of the titlesets it will crash. If I try to process the split it will crash. I am using Virtual CD version 5 and I also tried Nero Imagedrive and its the same problem. I did not have this problem several weeks ago. I think its a software conflict because I made a fresh install of Winxp on another hard drive and installed DVDxCopy and Virtual CD. The copy process worked fine.

So, what could cause this conflict??

BTW, I tried to ask this question at DVDxCopy's forum but they won't talk about vitual drives with DVDxCopy.

No idea. I believe I've used Daemon Tools once though with dvdxcopy. Maybe give that a try. It's freeware, no cost.

Just curious, what version of dvdxcopy are you using? May be that an older version isn't working too well. Just an idea.

no its the latest version. I think its some program I must have installed along the way that is causing the problem. As I mentioned before, in a fresh setup it worked fine.
