I want to resize an Interlaced MPEG2 file I got from DBS from 480x480 to 720x480. Should I use the basic BiCubic resize or something like WarpResize? Any recommendations would be helpfull.
In this case, i prefer Bicubic. But why you don't produce a couple of small Testfiles? Seeing the results is better than reading 20 Guides...

For upscaling I personally feel that LanczosResize gives the best results.

Yes, i some cases Lanczos can be better. Depants a little on the Source.
I always do a small Testencode before making the whole Video.
