OK I have a 3 disk SVCD (mpeg2 with MPA audio) I want to recombine and transcode to XviD. (I don't want to watch it on a DVD player)
About 50 frames must be trimmed from the ends of CD1 and CD2 in order to be seamless.
I'm screwed aren't I? Is there ANY to keep the audio in MPA format and trim off some frames and append the three clips together?
If I go through avisynth, the mpa-->wav. Then I get a wav file that syncs perfectly. But now I have to reencode the wav (as mp3-vbr) and it sounds TERRIBLE even on q0. ABR or CBR ~work~ but I would rather keep the input audio.
I can't open the video directly in vdubmod, and I can't pass the audio through AviSynth directly.
Once again I reiterate that an AviSynth 'Direct Stream Copy' would be a godsend.
