inserting 3-5 seconds blank between clips (vobs)

I'm assembling a clips package, with each clip in its own VOB (using THIS GUIDE (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/120021.php) ). The current version works fine, but I'd like to have 3-5 seconds blank screen between each clip. I tried cobbling something together, but I only managed to mangle the playback after the VOBs were joined. Any suggestions, or source for a blank VOB, would be appreciated. THANKS.

use maestro or scenarist to create a slide show of the time needed (just use a blank bmp as video). You'll get a very short vob file. Use this file in the same way as you're handling the rest of the files.

Trilight's home page has some blank clips to get. Other than that influenza's reply should cover your problem.

good suggestions; thanks. I did something very similar to influenza's tip, using an essentially blank jpeg included in ULEAD MovieFactory; you can import them into a project there, and set the display time, and then export as a DVD, thereby getting a usable VOB file.

I use the standard green PREVIEW screen between clips and it works very well.
