Backing up mixed content DVD discs ???

I've recently bought two DVD's that have mixed content -- DVD material that can be played on a standalone, etc, and other content that can only be accessed on a PC. On the disc, there's the usual VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, and then other kinds of material. Combined, the totals are under 4.7gb, and would fit on a single DVD-R. I'd like to back up the entire content, I'm wondering about how, and can't find anything on the subject. Ripping/backingup only addresses the standard DVD files. I could do a standard DVD backup and just add those files into the burn. Would that give the correct results? Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated -- including pointers to other resources. Yes. Rip the VIDEO_TS folder with a decrypting tool, then burn all the folders using DVD Data mode.

Got it. That seemed like a reasonable approach. I've had a number of occasions lately where partial backups wouldn't burn unless converted to an image, but these probably won't be partial. I was wondering, hopefully as an academic issue, how one might include those files in a conversion to image.
