Hi, i have some avi movies i want to watch on tv, so i studied to guide on doom9 for format conversion with this program in combination with CCE 2.5.

The problem is (i followed the guide) , it keeps coming up with mpeg2 files instead of 1, i know for 100% mpeg1 was checked. Apart from this everything seems to be fine, accept that my standalone player wont accept vcd with mpeg2.

Its a 23,976 avi and i have checked ntsc to avi conversion.
I am using Windows xp+sp1

What could i be doing wrong ? please help.

edit: i have tried loading up the vcd settings, but then it change the encoder to tmpgenc ? maybe thats the problem because i switch it back to cce ?

logfile? also, TMPG is better for VCD (MPEG1), while CCE is generally considered better for SVCD (MPEG2). I'm not sure if DVD2SVCD auto switches if you change the encoder to CCE.

Ok txs !

I will have a try with tmpgenc, i used CCE because i thought it was the best. Ok if i run into problems again i let ya know. txs.

Ok just for the search database ;)

It works fine with tmpgenc although its soooooo sllllooooooww :(

Later i managed to get it working with CCE. I was doing sometings in the wrong order. It encoded my vcd in only 20 minutes !!!

I noticed you first have to load in the avi then setup the encoder, then load up the vcd settings, then set the input back to avi and set the encoder back to CCE. Then it works fine !!!!.

Peace
