Best Buy currently has the 100 pack of TDK 4X DVD+R discs made by Richoh for $130 after Instant Rebate. Minimum 5 per store.
Name brand for less then Generic.

My Guess is they sold out in 10 minutes, but worth a look if you are heading there.

Last week I got in on the 20 pack for $30 so I paid a little more per disc. Looks like if you wait a week they will be free the way they are going.

Doom9 now looks like a genious(when does he not) when he stated months ago that +R discs should start dropping dramatically in price because they are cheaper to make then -R.

Yeah I was curious how good those DVD-Rs are b/c I work at Best Buy and the employee discount is a sweet 5% on top of cost, so whatever Best Buy buys them from the manufaturer at I pay 5% on top of that, so the $190 100 pack of TDK is only $95 dollars with my discount, but I don't know how the quality is, plus I am going in tomorrow because I guess back inventory they have had a lot of returns on DVD-R media, b/c of cracked cases or a lot of mainstream consumers are realizing you can't just pop in a DVD and hit copy and get 1:1 so they return them, and the boxes are useless so the manager is giving away 25 packs for like $4-$6. So I was curious if anyone has had some success with the TDKs b/c I think I am going to buy some.

The TDK +R's are top shelf.
I have not bought the -R's though.

You might want to hit the hot deals forum over at anandtech and see if anyone posted the maker of the -R discs in the thread about this deal.

BTW a good bud of mine is from Detroit (actually Hamtramic(SP?) and a women I work with is from Flint.

I went in today and picked up some DVD-Rs. I got a 25 Pack of TDK DVD+R for $9.99 and then they had a bunch of the DVD-R in the box w/ Jewel cases which are normally $24.99 and I picked up two boxes of Fuji for 6.99 and two boxes of Memorex for 5.99 so all in all after tax I paid $38 dollars for 65 Fuji, TDK, Memorex DVD-Rs, regularly $150. Only problem now is I don't have a dual format burner :(
