View Full Version : Pioneer 105 disk at once problem

Like most questions this has probably been answered but have done some searching and can find the right thread.

Recently sold my A03 with ver 2.0 firmware which was working with no problems writing at 1X/2X and replaced with Pioneer 105. I am using DVD2ONE 1.1.3 then using image tool 1.00.4 and keeps failing right at the end when trying to close disk at once. I have tried with 2X DVD-R and a 2X DVD-RW but get same message. Have used the Force Apsii 4.71, Windows XP formated as NTFS as i have read that Fat32 can sometimes cause problems.

Nero version 5.5.10.20

Firmware revision is 1.30

Disks are Maxell DVD-RW
Bulpaq DVD-R (Green)

The disks will play on my set top pioneer SD520E even though it has errors but Will not play on the Playstation 2.

Forgot to attach log from Image tool

Is it worth trying to update the nero to a later version ???

Can anyone help

Which other burn software you have installed? Deinstall all unused burn software, deinstall Nero and install Nero again. This should solve your problem.

Thanks, problem seemed to be the Pinnacle instant copy suite that came with my Pioneer. I removed this then nero and then re-installed nero again and have done 2 disks sucessfully since then and tested on my Playstation 2.

Cheers chris

You can reinstall "Instant Copy". But note: If you restart your system (Instant Copy need a reboot after installation) you get a popup message which says "driver problem..., press yes to fix this problem..." Press NO here. The above described problem only appears if you click "yes" at this point. Instant Copy will work also if you click on NO!

Coujo,

yes got the message about the driver problem after reboot. I did click YES at this stage. When i uninstalled Instant copy and rebooted it left something in the registry and still asked me if i wanted to fix the driver problem. This Time i clicked NO and clicked the box dont show message again.

So basically i can install Instant copy again and click NO initially then shouldn't have a problem with Nero.

Cheers

Bit of an update. Re-installed Pinnacle IC Suite this morning and then selected NO to the Fix driver problem prompt then tried burning with nero again. Get same error message as before ERROR Could not perform end of Disc-At-Once. Looks like they are just not meant to be installed together.

If you have the time, try to deinstall Instant Copy and Nero again. Install Instant Copy first, press the "NO" button es described above and after that, install Nero. Maybe in this oder you can use both programs.

There is a little tool from Nero (Nero RegistryChecker ftp://ftp6.nero.com/RegistryChecker.exe ) that should take care of that without reinstalling IC.

AND Always say NO at IC driver fix prompt.

A little late to the party on this one...but I had looked around several other places (I was having the same problem - even googled it) and this was the first place I found this great info.

Thanks Fellas!

Chris,

What makes you think that the media you are using are burnable at 2X? Please provide the ADVDInfo from your Maxell and Bulkpaq disks. In particular the Bulkpaq disks are suspect at any speed. See...http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=22

At work at moment so cant get ADVDInfo but Maxell DVD-RW was supplied with pioneer 105 and has 2X written all over the packaging and the bulpaq is the Bulpaq green DVD-R with 2X written on the disk.

Checked the page out Majority are going on about the old Gen 3 Purple disks. I have been using Gen 4 2X green Disks with the white middle and also the 1X / 2X Silver Bulpaq which are supposed to have the same dye as the Silver Datasafe Classic.
