Recently I downloaded a hdtv clip with aac audio in it, from: http://206.159.116.24/public.htm

It's not available for download anymore, although maybe you can find an email address somewhere on that site.

The main problem (besides that I couldn't play the clip, because of the audio) is that I couldn't demux the aac audio stream. Any ideas?

Maybe Tom has some time to add a "demux aac track" option in his dvd2avi :D

Well, it seems possible: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222055
I will try it, when I'm home ...

Those samples seem to contain plain-old MP2 audio

Wilbert -

Was that one of the JVC HD Cam samples. If so I could not play the audio either. But Sony and others are announcing some new HD Tape format like that so the format may get more common.

Sadly I know diddly about audio coding. Maybe we can talk Nic into taking a look at it. ;)

Yes, demuxing worked fine with that proggie. But I couldn't play the stream though.

You mean one of these: http://206.159.116.24/jvc.htm? No, I'm downloading one of these now, to see what to do with it.
edit: I'm able to demux the video stream for these files. But I can't demux the audio stream (tried it with Tom's dvd2avi).

It was one of these: http://206.159.116.24/downloads.htm (JapanBikini.ts). He puts up new ones every day! Most of them contain a 5.1/2.0 AC3, but this one a 2.0 AAC.
