How do you reverse video and audio?

this is needed for a transformers box set of dvds i have

couple of the scenes are in reverse...is there a good plugin for reversing playback..or filter. I checked some websites that i usually download avs filters and vdub filters but didnt see one.

ive never tried to do this in vdub and cant find the option

btw i want to do this in vdub without cutting out the video then appending it back in. Like set start on keyfram X and reverse to keyframe Y. (im using XviD if that even matters).

Also for one scene in this transformers dvd set i would have to reverse the audio aswell...can all this be done via free tools like vdub?

again i have see this done in adobe and digital fushion but never tried in vdub...err while i have tried but cant find how

thankyou for that thread...taht solves the video...however how to do the audio in vdub is another matter...any clue on that?
it would seem if i want to use the avisynth way i would do the video in one sweep by writing the scripts frame in and fram outs...but the audio would have to be cut apart and reversed and appended back in....this wrong?

I guess you´re right, but I don´t use avisynth myself,
so i´m not sure. Here´s a method that must work:

you extract your audio in wave, if it not already is,
and use a prog like CoolEdit to reverse it (there are
lot of audio-progs out there, but for CoolEdit I know
it has the "reverse"-function)

then you put it back in your video with VirtualDub
and that´s that.

yeh i understand that much...that is how i have already done it.

i guess vdub(mod) does not have that capability...which REALLY
sux. However its good enough :-)
