Avisource deblocking

Could it be possible toi add nic deblocking to avisource, directshowsource like mpeg2dec3 does ?

You could install ffdshow and uses directshowsource() to use the adaptive deblocking processing of ffdshow, provided your avifile is encoded with a DCT-based codec handled by ffmpeg, for instance all divx instances, xvid and some other stuff. If your source isn't of that kind* then BlindPP is really (not that it wasn't in the previous case) the way to go.

I haven't tried fddshow's deblocking yet. Interesting. I'll have to look into that.

But I have used BlindPP alot and it works VERY well.

This has recently been a big topic for me. I do a lot of transcoding to SVCD. I really need a good XVID deblocker. I am using BlindPP(cpu=4) , but because it is not adaptive there are some blocks that still slip through. I am thinking about using ffDshow, but have had mixed results with stability in the past.

Am I missing an adaptive deBlocker or deRinger?
