Well! OGM is told to be able to support VBR MP3. I have actually never been able to get it to work. Video goes well while audio stutters. Always the same. I use VirtualDubMod (latest release before 1.5.1.1a, AKA Matroska release).
Is there something I should tweak in VDubMod, or is it actually impossible to mux VBR MP3 into OGM?
Thanks... :(

Never really had problems with MP3 (CBR or VBR) in OGM.
However I noticed that sometimes OggDS has some issues if I use a 'Group frames' value ('Audio' Preferences) of 0 (i.e. when I separate each MP3 frame). In my case it was generaly random frozing of the clip during playback.
Using a value of 1 solved the frozing problem ...

it isn't the same problem as with vorbis when WavOut is used ?
i.e. buffering is under 40%
have you try to force DirectSound on playback ?

Hey boys, I got it!
It was just of those silly things I should already be used to... I cannot mux VBR audio when it is included in the avi. Gotta demux it, then mux via from OGM input list.
Only problem (still): when I seek or when I pause, then resume, playback gets slightly slower for 5-10 seconds, then goes normal. Any idea? Muxing error or playback error?
Now I'll try with chapters. NOTHING STRANGE SHOULD HAPPEN NOW, but never know... :(
