need suggestion for a free mpeg splitter

Helo folks,

I would like to know which program do you use for splitting mpeg vcd. If possible a free tool.

I already tried the mpeg tools in TMPGEnc, but they don't seem to be reliable, at least for me, who tried to trim a vcd and the tool trimmed more than what I wanted.

I used once a good tool, called easy AVI/Mpeg splitter, but it's an expired shareware for me now :/

There is a software by the name of mpegcut or mpegcutter possibly mpeg2cut (the name escapes me) that is supposedly less buggy than TMPGenc and also freeware.
