I am kind of new so please bear with me. I have a video and I keep getting what I think is mosquito noise on the black/white boundaries especially. Can someone verify what this is and any possible ways to get rid of it. It seem to almost be alive and move while i am playing my video. It is a svcd mpg made from a type 1 avi file I captured with my minidv camcorder. I loaded it with directshowsource. I have tried c3d and I see no difference. I also tried msmooth and I got some crazy ghosting effects.

MSmooth is a spatial smoother, not a temporal smoother. It cannot cause ghosting.
There's no way we can help if you don't post a screenshot.
