Just a few words about the (hopefully) upcoming menuing feature with Matroska.
Such a capability would be great in order to create DVD backups retaining the original artwork of the DVD menu. But now that I think of it, it could mean a lot of work to transfer all the menu information in the DVD to the Matroska file by hand.
Let's face it. We all have busy lifes, and such a task would be a pain in the ass unless you were a menu artist willing to spend hours and hours in creating a beautiful peace of art. Thus: a tool capable to automate (to a big extent, yet not completely) this transfer would be wanted.
It is my advice to those Matroska developers working on menuing, that they shape it having DVD backups in mind. Transferring the DVD menu to the mkv file should be as direct and easy as possible, so that it won't be long before somebody come up with the aforementioned automation tool.
