DVD2AVI problem

I am trying to use DVD2AVI and it does not matter which version that I try, I end up getting an error and the application crashes. What I am trying to do is convert a .ts file to an .avi file using a DiVx Codec 5.03 and this is a screenshot of the error that I am getting.

I am running WinXP with SP1 , any help would be appreciated, it never runs more then 1 minute before I get the same error.

Weird, this is the same error that I had when I tried this program 6 months ago on a different install of WinXP and a differnt computer, am I the only one with this error, if so, looks like I was never meant to use it :(

A couple other questions ...

Does it crash if you just do preview?

Does it crash if you use it with other movies?

No it does not crash when I only use the preview, I've tried it on all different type of compatable files and it always crashes. It attempts to process the file but in less then 30 seconds, it crashes and gives me a similar error everytime.

No, I never tried that. I did a search on doing it and what I found is WAY beyond my comprehension(and time to spend learning it), I just wanted to make .ts files able to be used on a stand-alone DVD player and I did not think that it was brain surgery but I guess that I am wrong.

Thanks for you time, I tried DVD2AVI on my other computer and it ended up working fine, so I repaired my OS on my other computer and it is now not crashing anymore, must have been a corrupted WinXP install or driver, all set now, thanks for your help.
