NEC ND 1100A does not support DVDInfo

Hi,

I have NEC writer ND-1100A (firmware 1.A0), and I can not read Pre-recorded information in Lead-In (code 0Eh), with DVDInfo 1.04. It gives "Drive does not support command".

I have ASPI 4.60, and tried both Win98 and on Win2000.

If someone owns ND-1100A, could you please post if you could read any pre-recorded info from media, or is it a limitation of this model?:angry:

If it's the manufacturer ID you want to know for DVD+R/RW media you'll get it by selecting the "Physical format information" command (or "Show complete media code"). You also need to have something burnt on the disc.

I have revision 1.05, but it's a Nec repackaged as a Cendyne so I don't know what firmware 1.05 from Cendyne is equal to from NEC
