IC7 and holes in menus

Hi guys,
I'm giving IC7 a try those days, and I've found a pretty annoying 'feature' of theis prog which is the following: I reencode the main movie and keep the menus 100% (no compression) and sometimes in the final product menues show 'holes' on the image, such that in the 'hole' you can see a piece of another menu... strange but happens.
This can not be seen with all players, though: I have two of them and one shows 'holes' while the other does not. However, I can see them with DVD's created by IC7 (yesterday I encoded a movie with IC7 and DVDshrink. Original and DVDShrink shows no holes while IC7 doe sshow them)... but more than the cause for that, I'm looking for the cure. Has anybody experienced anything similar? Has anybody came up already with a solution?

I have kinda similar problem, although I didn't leave the menus at 100%. I just take the compression which IC7 suggests.

When I watch the result in WinDVD or IfoEdit, the buttons are simply not there, just the background image. But the buttons are operative. When I click to the point where the button should be, it's working :confused:

It doesn't seem to be a problem of the softwareplayers , 'cause on my Standalone it also behaves like that.

'til now this only happened on some DVDs from Buffy (german R2).

I wonder if this may be related to upgrading to DirectX 9....

These "holes" are only visible on Philips, Marantz (and probably Hitachi) players (= Philips family).
So far, no solution, except using another program other than IC7 .... :(

As for the invisible buttons, on my one and only case (8Mile, R1) it only happens on Power DVD, not on standalone, BUT the original behaves exactly the same. Also, no solution.

Both these subjects have been mentioned before here.

Well, the thing is that the problem also occurs on the Standalone.

Watching the original DVD in IfoEdit or WinDVD doesn't show the same strange behaviour.

Doing the same DVD with DVDShrink, the problem doesn't occur at all so it must me somehow a problem with IC7.

Gentlemen,
several facts in order now. First, it IS a problem with IC7 only because, as I said, I can watch the original dvd and see no holes, watch a bakup copy made by IC7 and see holes, and watch a backup copy made by dvdvshrink and see no holes. So holes are made by IC7.
And yes, I know this is a poblem with some players only (like my Marantz) but still... I repeat the problem is with IC7, 'cause my player swallows every other dic I put in without showing those unwanted effects.
But now the nice part:
I know how to solve the problem! However, it works only when yu do not compress the menus in your copy.
The way to solve the problem is easy: just do your project with IC as ususal wothout compressing menus. Let's say that after ucompressing the .pdi files, everything lies in directory DIR_PROJECT. Then create a new directory (let's call it NEW_ONE) and copy there the VTS_XX_0.VOB and .IFO an .BUP file created by IC7 which contains the menus. Now go to DIR_PROJECT and copy there the VTS_XX_O.VOB, .IFO and .BUP from the original dvd. Then simply run IfoUpdate putting DIR_PROJECT in 'Original IFO Path' and NEW_DIR in 'Authored IFO Path'. And that's it, nice and easy!
Of course, you could also try to compress menues in IC7 and compress menues with DVDShrink and use the DVDShrink created menues instead of the original ones in the previous trick...

@Arianos, how are you doin'g mate :D ? A you see, there's always a solution :D :D :D In anyc ase I'd like to read the threads where this problem has been addressed.

Also tested again with no compression on the menu and there was no problem with the menu at the end.

I also didn't need the workaround with IfoUpdate in that case.
