Hi there.

I always run SETI@Home to make sure I have no temperature surprises, which has never been a problem. However, the latest GK appears to be spawning processes (Well, at least VDM) with the same priority as SETI so they share my CPU, so I'm encoding at half speed by default - eek! Does anyone know how to make GK spawn processes at a slightly higher priority? Thanks!

Assuming GordianKnot passes off its encoding to VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod: open up either application and go to preferences and change the default priority. Save it. Next time GordianKnot calls one of these programs it should assume the priority you last saved. Just a guess, I haven't used the new GordianKnot so I don't know if it's changed or not since like . . . a year ago.
