there shouldn't be any inherent limitation of the kind you described. but since you did experience this problem, could you pls:
1. let us know exactly what tools did u use and their versions, and the exact invocation details (i.e. GUI used, command line params, etc), files names, sizes, etc. everything.
2. can you try doing a similar action with an avi/ogm file? do u experience the same behaviour?
cheers

hum very quick answer :)
in fact after redo a test it seems to me it's my "very" long name for the path it doesn't like :)
but it made a count for the % with the creation of the file but it delete it at 100% and show me an error msg.
mode2cdmaker.exe -o "C:\WINDOWS\Bureau\m2cdmgui16\smilmenu" -v "MODE2CD" -e "dat" -x -m "D:\autodivx5_source_Autodub\Smil_Exemples\Exemple_Smil\Smil_test\Data\movie.rmvb" -m "D:\autodivx5_source_Autodub\Smil_Exemples\Exemple_Smil\Smil_test\Data\movie_stream1.rm" -m "D:\autodivx5_source_Autodub\Smil_Exemples\Exemple_Smil\Smil_test\Data\movie_stream2.rm"
hope u can solve this bug :)
edit : use ubik gui and latest mode2cd (1.5.1 it seems to me).
Ps: yes i have an mental problem with directory name :)

This error means that one of these files have a size below 300 Kb (with a 3 Mb file it should work fine). Please check every filesize.
In any case, use the "single track" mode to overcome the minimum Form2 filesize limitation. This is due to the minimum track size, which is about 150 sectors.

yes one of the file was 204 kb. and it work with -s switch (single track). thank u very much for the answer :) i now understand better why there is a limitation :) however a friend have report me problems if u use single track with mixed file in mode1 and mode2. does someone have report u such problems ?

++ There should be no problems at all, as standard VCDs also use them (the *.RTF files in the CDI dir are Form2 and lie on the ISO track). Mixed-mode tracks are common since long time.
However, a player that wants every movie lying on a separate track (such as mplayer) won't work with single track mode, because there's only one track on the CD in this case, containing all the movies together with the ISO FS. The player must use the ISO 9660 filesystem to locate every movie position (as most do).
But in case someone has had problems with these I'd like to know, too.
