I have lately got a bunch of films that are downloaded correctly thru either peer to peer or FTP or just copied from CDs in Xvid and I can't playback them. I have other Xvid movies that works fine but not all. When I playback I get this message!

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested class"

I have checked the movies in AVIPreview and it says it's Xvid and I have both Xvid and that ffdshow filters. I have tried using both.

I KNOW a few of the movies are Correct and not "half" downloaded and that crap and I want them to work. What do I do?

if I try playing with BSplayer I get "The file is corrupt seeking may be slow" and then the movie plays a little before it freezes

Please Help!

I'm assuming you meant the movies were created by somebody legally and you had permission to transfer them - perhaps public domain material.

This looks like a Visual Basic error to me.
Did you try copying the files to the hard disk, and running them from there? Just in case..

Well, BSplayer's error message is correct, your files are corrupt. Not much you can do about it. (Open in virtual dub to check for the errors. Many tutorials are on the net how to fix broken downloaded files.)

AVIPreview is a part of Kazzaa (Lite) if i'm not mistaken, so it's unlikely that you d/l'ed legal content. Thus i'm closing this thread soon.
