Please help me if possible. I've been searching the forum and I'm not able to find an answer.

I'm running GK 28b4 on a fresh xp box (2.6gb amd 512mb ram) while encoding doing 2pass with divx vdubmod blows up. I can exit vdubmod and the encoding continues.

This also happenes with 28b3

Please, can someone tell me what to do, I'm almost bald from pulling out my hair

thanks,

jcase

Sorry,
But I'm still getting the same error. I've reinstalled xp fresh on the same computer, then installed GKNOT 28.5 setup then rip pack 1.3 I'm still getting the same error:

VirtulaDub Program Failure
Crash Details:
An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occured in module 'ntdll'.

Any help woud be appreciated, I've done clean install on 3 totally different computers and I'm getting the same thing.

Thanks,

probably...

have you tried encoding differrent movies or just one?

I can do most other movies without a problem. I have the Stargate season1 and 2 that I'm trying to run through gknot. It seems most of the Stargate episodes have this problem. Normal movies go fine.

Any suggestions?

Try doing the audio COMPLETELY seperate from the show.

Also of interest:

What version of DIVX

have you tried the NEW GK setup-pack?

What version of DVD2avi?

Not much to go on.....

Good Luck!

Anyone know whats wrong when you use VBR instead of CBR Mp3s?

Strange things(a/v synch,stutter,etc.)

I get the same probs

Exact same error message Windows XP SP1 gk .28.5.2 codec 1.4

It seems its something to do with the source file (in my case an mpeg2 captured off digital terrestial tv)

If i click exit the encoding continue like it never had a problem.

Does your rip have errors in it cos using the same software i can encode normal movies ie DVDs fine and DS9 which ive been encoding is fine

so i dont know
