Welcome to Doom9's forum!
According to IMDB, the UK version of this has two DD5.1 soundtracks, English / German, and 17 subtitle tracks.
You haven't given us enough information to help you. Please read this link from the DVD2SVCD forum (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19566). It may give you some guidance on the kinds of things that would help us help you.
Sorry but I did say i was a little wet, anyway I'm using dvd shrink 1.03 and then nero 5.5.10.35 to burn, I know its possibly not the best way of doing it but it seems to work best for me and I usually get great results. I will do a lot more research on problems in the future and only try posts when absolutely stuck. If possible could you point me in the right direction regarding what sort of info you may need.....thanks in advance
:p
PS going to read the link in full...thanks again

Have you tested your file in a media player to make sure that the audio is present before burning? If you haven't done so, this would help to narrow your problem down a bit.

RR-> Killingspree made a very good point here. Check out Ddogg's contribution on how to punch the Trouble Ticket (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48791&highlight=trouble+ticket/), it's interesting and informative, and states why it is important to bring closure to an issue. Don't feel too badly about making a simple mistake with your settings, until you get the hang of organizing your ripps, it's easy to do.;)
