View Full Version : How does OTA delay tracks?

I am wondering how this delay thing works within besweet, with OTA. I was always doing this during the muxing process. I have the final video and the final audio file, then I mux them and set the delay.
But how can I set the delay on the audio file only? I am making mp3 out of ac3 and nothing else. How come that the delay has any influence here?
Thanks

BeSweet, IIRC, asserts the delay by either inserting silent audio samples or removing audio samples at the start of the track, based on the sign of the delay. The program you are using for muxing probably asserts delay in the same fashion.

Both of these methods (asserting the delay with BeSweet or during muxing) delay the audio file only. Delay functions only adjust the audio file because their intention is to help synch audio+video. Hope this helps.
