I have used RecordNow (LG GMA 4020B burner) for a while now, and been very happy with it. BUT, recently when recording DVDs I follow the same procedure as previously, add my VIDEO_TS folders, then set it on its way, however almost every time it brings up an error, usually at about 99% complete Error 10 at sector 1812096 - Hardware Servo Error - Command 35 Sense 04 ASC: 09 ASCQ: 01

Everytime the error is at the same sector. Is there anything wrong with my hard drive - a seagate 120mb new drive with scans showing no probs? It was working perfectly and I don't think I changed anything.

The help file list the error as a "Tracking Servo Failure" but I'm unsure of the meaning of this.

Thanx in advance

Tracking Servo Error indicates an error in the burner.

Does it also give errors whem u rip a dvd with it,if so i think ur media is bad. also try another program, prassi primo is also from the same maker and i had problems with that also sometimes. I also knew a person who ha dthe pioneer burer and dad the same problems,he cleaned the lens and problem was gone, because pioeer flows air from the back to the front. So dustwas getting in to it.
Is ur burner prettty new or older version?

Tx for replying, the burner is only a month old. Have now tried burning with Nero and without a problem at all. But using Record now max same error. Do you think it could be a conflict? Or do u guys think there is a problem with the burner itself?
