Download here (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_beta.shtml).
Change list:

* New Setting "Fix VMR9 Scaling Bug" (Options / Filter Control) which
is a fix for bugs in both the NVIDIA drivers and the Microsoft VMR9
interface. When enabled the scaling artifacts and resolution loss
(slight blurring) should be fixed. This fix may interfere with
DVD Hardware acceleration.

* New Customized DVD Video Renderer Mode. By Default Zoom Player used
VMR9 Windowless mode when VMR9 was picked as the video renderer. This
was done as recommended by the Microsoft documentation. Unfortunately,
there's a severe bug in this mode that prevents DVD Menus from being
accessed properly. Toward that end, I've enabled support for VMR9
Windowed compatibility mode (this is being used by the NVDVD player,
or so I'm told).

* The Customized Media Filter Selector will now display the DLL file name
containing the selected filter.

* DMO Filter Properties may now be accessible through the filter
properties sub-menu (Haven't really extensively tested this).

* New Scene Cut setting "Inverse Cut". When enabled, all "Cut"
entries inverse and become "Play Only the specified time line".

* You can now open and associate Windows Media Play Lists (.WPL).
This format has a weird way of storing unicode data, I have no idea
what microsoft did here, so only non-unicode files can be loaded.

* Customized Media support for still images.

* Zoom Player can now set the default program to run when a CD Audio
disc is inserted (Options / DVD / DVD Tools).

* New "/CDPLAY" command line parameter which will search all CD/DVD
drives and the first matching CD Audio disc found will be played
(all tracks loaded into the play list).

* Navigators interfaces dealing with large number of items (Play List,
Media Library, etc...) now have the UP/DOWN navigational controls
accelerated if pressed repeatedly over a short period of time.
This helps speed things along when scrolling long lists.

+ Customized Media mode now has better support for embedded OGM and
Matroska subtitle tracks. I do recommend that you install the latest
version of DirectVobSub (v2.25 at this moment) for it to work properly.

+ Little bit less Windows 9x/ME resource usage.

- The Customized Media Playback editors didn't allow you to erase the
first Sub-Type and Extension.

- Running a unicode file name would not always set the right path for
the file navigator.

- The File Navigator wouldn't always open on the location of the
currently open file.

- The Color Control interface height now respect the Navigator screen
coverage specification so that it won't exit the screen area.

- Fixed a bug that could cause DVDs to stop by themselves on initial run.

- Fixed a problem with the Play List Nav sticking.

- Fixed a problem when inserting a CD would try to play even though
there were no files to be played.

- Closing a media file may leave not properly clear the chapter listing.

- Moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen with the control bar
visibility setting enabled should now REALLY pop the control bar.

Thanks for your work on another ZPlayer release with a large changelog, Blight.

Althought I mainly use ZPlayer as a video player, I've always had problems with VBR MP3's displaying the wrong length. I found a post on the InMatrix forums http://forum.inmatrix.com/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=3ef140aa13c9ffff;act=ST;f=7;t=428;hl=vbr+mp3+display+length relating to this subject, and you said it was due to the MP3 decoder, however, I cannot produce the error in length with any other player, all using the same decoder. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks again for a great media player, Blight.

Which players are you referring to? Microsoft has their own undocumented inaccissible MP3 decoder being used for WMP7+. ZP uses directshow, the default decoder that comes with windows is the fraunhoffer one which is a bit dated. There are other decoders available, but I haven't really investigated them as I actually use WinAmp2.x for MP3 playback.

My mistake, you're right, I experience the error with all DirectShow players. For some reason last night I could only reproduce the error on ZPlayer, but it definitely also occurs with MPC 6.4.5.4 and BSPlayer. MS' fraunhofer decoder is definitely the problem here. I'm with you on using winamp 2.x, it's a great audio player. Thanks for the clarification, Blight.

The new DirectVobSub is in the package called VSFilter.dll. vsfilter.dll does all of them.. its the VirtualDub filer, DVobSub and Avisynth filter all in one.. jsut unzip to your system or system32 depending on which window and run regsvr32 vsfilter.dll
