Hi,

I'm using the Media Player Classic 6.x.x.x by Gabest (escellent work :)). One question i have is:

Is this posible to have a preset in pan&scan that provide an aspect ratio of 16:9? I think it's useful since many films you can download are wrongly resized, and often it's not a real anamorphic aspect ratio, and don't manage to get a proper anamorphic aspect ratio into MPC. Liek the option "aspect ratio" in BSplayer. Does anyone know the values that i have to put when creating a preset in MPC to achieve that?

Other one :) IS there a way to make MPC use the dvobsub info and have it into the subtitle menu in MPC, instead to go changing subtitles in the filter>dvovsub menu? Can't use subtitles option embedded in MPC since my PC is too slow.

1. Check the video resolution under file/properties.
2. Use width/height*9/16 as the vertical multiplier.

For example you can make 640x480 be 16:9 with h:1.00x, v:0.75x multipliers.

"IS there a way to make MPC use the dvobsub info ..."

Sorry, no.

Ive been mocking around with the settings to no avail. Is there a way to get the correct aspect ratio from DVDs with MPC? WinDVD gets it right everytime.
SVCDs seem to work fine if i just leave it at "touch window from inside", but DVDs gets dragged out so it looks like a 4:3 movie, and the AR of course gets skewed.

Sorry if its been asked before, i did search the forum.
