Spatial Smoothers for Photoshop?

This may be a little off topic, but I was wondering if anyoneknows of a good spatial smoother for photoshop? It just seems really weird that I have to process my images through avisynth to make them look good...

I heard Paint Shop Pro 8 has a smart smoother (or at least the description I was given resembled a smart smoother very closely anyway). Still, I use VirtualDub(Mod) and SSHiQ for manga still image filtering.
