i notice that the latest beta 1.1.5 forces film on movies marked as
NTSC 95%+...it's easy to edit the .d2v and .avs files accordingly
or am i an idiot :D

yes, it forces film on FILM or NTSC>95%. Did this create a problem for you?

i did notice a jerky playback when NTSC>95% forced film - it's not hard to edit the .d2v and avs. files accordingly, i just want to see if you knew about this.

The original behavior of the detection algorithms was taken from advice from DVD2SVCD, as well as his routines. In his routines, this was normal behavior. But the detection algorithms have come far since then (his functions were only accurate for main-movie, because that's all that SVCD-ers need, when it came to extras they lacked completeness, which i later compensated for myself) and if you suggest that NTSC>95% should be IVTC or whatever, then I'll definitely look into it.
