Since Phillips seems to have abandoned the AAC path, I'd be happy to hear about other wothwhile AAC capable protable players.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Nokia use it on the 5510, for the other model I don't know.

I found this, I like the one from compaq Side By Side Comparison of AAC Players (http://shopping.yahoo.com/comparepad/sidebyside.html?d=zpmp&search=1&.done=http%3A%2F%2Fadvanced.search.shopping.yahoo.com%2Fshop%2Fcpersonal_mp3_player%3Fy%3Dmc%26format%3DAAC%26s%3D%26b%3D%26r%3D&id=1990741802&id=1990601114&id=1990428820&id=1990435505&id=1990487781&id=1990491478) thank you audiocoding.com. Some of them are sort of outdated, of course the new iPods can play AAC too, they are pretty nice probably I would recommend one of those. All though they are a little pricey.
EDIT: If you want a smaller player that does better on batteries, check out these from panasonic http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelList?storeId=11251&catalogId=11005&catGroupId=11240
