I want to give joshua (not me, another joshua) credit for this on how to back up dvds with episodes. I think his method deserves to be posted in the sticky for all users to follow of this fourm. I tried several methods, and his was the winner. It's found here:

His post is the 29th August 2002 15:03 post. I just wanted to add, that you can get rid of those funny vobs he mentions at the end when ripping the pgc, it's one of the chapters in that pgc and you just uncheck it. It my case, all of the pgcs or episodes I was backing up had a black 1 sec after each episode, and removing chapter 2 in the pgc fixed it. You can place the cursor over the chapter in the pgc and it will tell you the length of that chapter as an added tip. Finding that out saved more time from not having to remove them later. Brilliant. Oh, and mine had 13 pgcs per disc, so you rename the ones from 10 up to VTS_01_010.vob, not VTS_01_0010.vob or it will get left out. I don't know what he was talking about renaming VTS_01_01.vob to VTS_01_003.vob in the second folder though, I numbered them same in both discs/folders and it worked fine, starting with VTS_01_001.vob in both.
