It is little bit difficult to catch the point of your post :). I donīt know "pioneer record now" but I guess you have to choose right DVD format -> DVD Video. Am I right??

record now comes bundled with the A05 as CD/DVD burning software and seems to know what its doing. My problem is that first I tried Pale Rider with ifoedit and that seemed to play OK in the burner but not in my LG DVD player. So I thought I'll try another with DVD Shrink. With Dune it still didn't play in the LG but now won't play in either the A05 or my old Pioneer DVD-Rom and also won't play with Windvd 3 although the files will play off the HD.

OK in the burner but not in my LG DVD player

It could be some navigation error or wrong closed session. What happens when you put your media into LG player - nothing (no disc inserted) or it displays some title number?? First issue could point to wrong closed session second to the navigation error (did you "get VTS sector"?).

didn't play in the LG but now won't play in either the A05 or my old Pioneer DVD-Rom

It is strange. Did burning process finish succesfully?? Could you try to burn some original DVD 5 onto DVD-RW?? It could help to analyze the problem.

Dune was unencrypted and about 4.3G so fits on one DVD. Just discovered Shrink can open files on the newly burnt disc (ie runs thru the analysis) but can't open the DVD itself. Also DoItFast4U doesn't load the disc. I'd better get some more discs and more DVDs...Surely it's not TAO vs DAO...

You can try to burn Dune with another burning program. I personally use ImgTool 0.99.8 and Nero 5.5.9.14 and had no problem so far. If you want to try this combination you need only demo version of Nero installed. ImgTool can be downloaded on CouJoīs page (there is link on Doom9īs software page).

Did you try to insert your last disc into LG player? I have one DVD which plays flawlessly in my Sony player but is not recognized by my DVD drive in my computer .

Thanks. Imgtool worked. I discovered i didn't shrink to a video_ts folder. Dick_Heads of the world unite!!!! Now I have 2/3 of the trinity: good one click tool, cheap good disks but not a good episode disc solution...
