I was just wondering if there is such a thing as a Prograssive scan DVD-ROM drives for computers?

I'm asking just because I know that the progressive scan dvd players (non-computer ones) do show improvments in the video quality. Or at least it does on my friends TV. Soon as I saw it this question came to mind with my computer.

Thanks for the info!

thats not dependant on your dvd-rom drive, its dependant on your video output.
if you look a dvd on your monitor you have already a pogressive video. problem would be how to get the progressive signal to your tv, most tv do not have a vga-in, and a tv-out does not support progressive scan.

Just to add that you need also TV with progressive scan capability to get it.
