Hi! Could you please help.

1.

Is it possible to burn 2 or 3 different movies on a single 4.7gb dvd. For example one is 40min and the other 30min long, is it posible to burn both or do I have to combine it to one file. Because I have a few short mpgeg-2 (pal DVD) field B movies and would like to fill DVD to the end.

2.

Why Pinnacle saids you have space for 69 minutes of high quality video but tmpgenc said if authored with mp2 audio movie can be recorded up to 235 min. As well as I put on 3000 kbits/s 37% quality pinnacle saids you can put only 175 minutes on DVD. What kind of bitrate do you use for home made movie with miniDV cam.

3.

What's the difference between stereo and joint stereo, what to set.

Thanks!

1. sure it is, as long they are not larger then 4,38 GB all together
(you do this with any authoring prog, i.e. DVD workshop)

2. canīt say, I allways run away from Pinnacle-stuff

3. this one belongs in the audio-forum

"stereo": both channels (left and right) are encoded seperately, like if they were two independent mono channels.

"joint stereo": The audio is split into two parts. 1st part is the audio that is the same for both channels, and the 2nd is the difference between both channels. So the 2nd does actually store the stereo-information.

I hope this explenation is somehow O.K. :D

ad 2)
actually you can use whatever bitrate you want for DVD files as long as it is below ~10 Mbit. You are not allowed to lower the resolution though so you'll end up with fairly nasty results if you step too low.

everything else has been explained nicely so I'm just left with the request that you please use a descriptive title the next time

thanks
