Hey there all !!

I own a Pioneer DV-717 which is a hell dawm good DVD player but IT DOESN'T PLAY SVCD

I used many suggested ways to trick it to play an SVCD as VCD but no luck !!

Now i've tried with "SPY KIDS 2" REGION 1.

I used the latest version of DVD2SVCD 1.1.3 Build 2, change the BBMpeg setting into MPEG-1 as suggested by a thread here and ..........

IT REGOGNISED IT as a VCD. !!!!!!!!!1

The image quality is excellent BUT >>>>>>>> ............

Sound is out of synch and the whole movie plays on my 29" TV as a square on the left side of the TV.

Ok the problem with sound synch is focus on bit rate (PLEASE ADVISE ON THIS) but what happens with the movie playing on the left side of the TV ???

Your commends and suggestion are greatly appreciated in advance.

THANKS

Unfortunatly I dont think that you are going to get an answer to this. Most likley its your DVD player that is doing somthing weird. Only someone who has a similar DVD player to your would know what they did to fix the problem (if the problen can even be fixed).

If you really want to play SVCDs I would suggest that you buy a cheap DVD player (Apex or cyberhome) that will cost you between $40-$60.

I think that you will find it will be cheaper in the long run if you spend the money and buy a DVD player then the hours and hours that you could spend on trying to figure out whats going on.
