interlace? probs with dvd2dvd-r and cce

Hi.

Using CCE 2.67.00.10, DVD2DVD-R 1.4.9

When I try to backup an NTSC DVD movie using above programs (IfoEdit mode) The resulting backup doesnt play smooth. Almost looks like an interlace problem. I tried to change the Topfieldfirst setting using restream, but this didnt solve the problem.

When looking with bitrate viewer I noticed the following:

Original
Pic. structure: Frame
Field topfirst: Yes
DCT type: Field
Quantscale: Linear
Scan type: ZigZag
Frame type: Progressive

Backup
Pic. structure: Frame
Field topfirst: Yes
DCT type: Frame
Quantscale: Non-Linear
Scan type: ZigZag
Frame type: Progressive


So the properties of the backup have changed. I tried to replace EclCCE that came with dvd2dvd-r with the new 1.5c version, but this didnt help.


Can someone help me with this?

CCE can only output DCT/field type frame and non-linear quantizer scale, so this is normal. However, DVD2DVD-R currently can't be used reliably to backup NTSC movies.
