I've been burning +RW with Nero 5.5.8.2 and ImgTool 1.00.4 for the last few weeks without any problem...

Ive gotten brave and wanted to burn an ISO DVD compilation of 4GB onto a +R.
Today when I put the +R disk in it spits it out saying
"there isnt enough room - put in another disk".
I put in a new disk and same thing.
I put in the +RW and away she goes....

Any ideas pls...

Are your +R media really 4,7GB, arenīt they 3,75GB? What is the exact size of your image/compilation??

DVD+R discs only come in 4.7Gb size. Does it work if you burn VIDEO_TS directory instead of the ISO file? If so, then the burner and the disc are working fine. Are you sure the ISO file only 4Gb?

Are you certain you have a 5125 and not a 5120? The 5120 only writes to +RW, not +R disks.

i have a mp5125a and when i try and do an image in discjuggler or nero it makes the image to large to fit back on a dvd+r even if the dvd i was making the image with was only say 3.2g so i have been using dvd decrypter to make images and write them back.

Hi markwefc,

did you try ImgTool Classic from CouJo? You can use it for making an image or you can use ImgTool 1.0.x for burning your compilation directly (you need only demo version of nero installed) onto DVD+R. I have never had a problem with this program ;).

Sometimes your image can be slightly bigger than 4 700 000 000B (say e.g. 4 750 000 000B) but it is not probably your case.

software for trial.

I've just spent half an hour scrolling through my downloaded files over the past 4 years alooking for an imager.

If I could load all my files into a folder tree and then burn it with an imager - then image tool might burn it for me.....

My 4GB of Mpg1 VCD Music video clips cant be Video_TS'd 'cause they're not in 48kHz audio and hence dont comply with DVD format.

I want to make a data DVD for playback on my DVD Setop Box.

It shouldnīt be so hard to change your audio from 44,1 to 48 KHz. BeSweet can do it for you. It can be downloaded from Doom9īs download page. I suggest you also to download GUI for this command line utility.
