I have got some wmp files that i need to convet, i have tried using dvd2svcd with cce, but dvd2svcd can see the files - when i select them in the conversion tab, the "Go" button is greyed out, and there is nothing in the movie length box.

I have also tried opening the file in virutal dub, nothing again. How could i get them in a avi format so that i can convert them with dvd2svcd.

I also having problems with some divx files,i know its sothing to do with the ac3 audio, but even when i run them through virtual dub, it says something about ac3 de-compresser? Anyway they dont convert either

Any help would be great cheers

The name of the program is DVD2SVCD. It doesnt convert wmp files. You have to find a different program to do that. Thats why the go button is grayed out and there is no movie lenght.

I am not too sure about vdub but I think that it will only to .avi files.

Do a search on google and see if you can find something to convert wmp to avi.

As far as your audio problems: if your divx movie andthe ac3 file for the sound you need an ac3 codec that your software player can understand. Once again do a search on google to see if you can find something.

Cheers for replying mate. Ihave searched on google before i posted on the forum. I know previous versions of virtual dub could convert wmp files and asf files, but microsoft told them to take it out of future versions - i think. I also followed the "ASF / WMV conversion guide" in the doom9.org adn installed asf conveter - still dosnt work. I have tried everything but cant seem to convert these bwm clips i have.

Anybody else got any ideas on how to convedrt wmp files in to avi?thanks in advance
