View Full Version : Simple question about IFOEdit (which I didn't find answered)

Well, it is simple.

I'd like to take one of my DVDs and add some extra AC3 audio tracks and some subtitles to its original contents (that is, keeping the menu -with no changes or extensions at all-, video and ac3 audio tracks).

I guess I have to use IFOEdit to do this. I haven't had any experience with it yet, and I wonder to get into it. If adding tracks and subtitles, and also the final remux can be done with this tool I will get on with it.

By the way: if all this can be achieved with IFOEdit, what is VOBEdit for!?

I´m not sure that Ifoedit can do it. I guess you have to author it in real authoring tool.

Én theory it can be done.

U can author a dvd with ifoedit. U can add audio and subtitle tracks and mux to a title set. If u keep the orginal's pgc and chapter structure and position, u can replace the newly authored vts_x0_0.vob, ifo, bup with the original, Get VTS Sectors and burn.

U can even add more audio streams than the original that u couldn't select from the menu, since they r new addition to the structure, but u can select them from the remote just as easy.

Thank you oddyseus.

Is there any guide to do exactly what you say (besides doom9's guides)?

None that I know of. But u can look at derrow's site http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/guides.html

There r plenty of guides there that deal with the subject in small parts.
