I've been trying to get my DIVX/XVID movies to work on my Windows XP Machine. Everytime I tried to open up a movie, an error pops up stating a IVIAUDIO problem.
I have a Audigy 2, AC3 Codec (downloaded it from DOOM9), and PowerDVD EX.
I don't understand why this is crashing? I tried removing the AC3 Codec but the movie plays without sound...
Any help is appreciated. This is frustrating.

What error message? Try using another player (zoom player, bsplayer) to see if it is fixed.

AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.4490 ModName: iviaudio.ax
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 0001190d
Thats the error. I will try Zoom Player and see wassup.

Yes I do get the same error for all Media Players including Zoom Player, DIVX Player 2.1, and BS Player.
It only happens when there's a DIVX/XVID Movie involving AC3 Audio.
I believe some how the AC3 Codec software is conflicting with the AC3 decoding on the AUDIGY 2 perhaps???
If anyone has dealt with this problem, please provide me a possible solution.
I appreciate it. Thanks.

Well you need to re-register the particular audio codec you want to use or reuse, use Zoom Player under player options, manual filters, register the powerdvd profile. IVIAUDIO.AX is a WinDVD or Intervideo audio codec filter.

Yes I tried that. The crashing is gone, and now I don't got any AC3 sounds...
I tried formating like 3 times. Its still an issue...
Argh, why is it crashing with Audigy 2...
