I have tried backing up The Rock (PAL) using Doom9's RA guide and throughout the process I never recieved an error, but when I try to play the DVD in WinDVD (Play DVD From Folder) the chapter selection jumps to the wrong place and only the first half work, (it has a total of 32 chapters and when I try to play chp. 16 it jumps to the last 10min of the movie. If I play VTS_01.IFO WinDVD displays the total running time as 1h:10 when it should be over 2 hours. Scenarist correctly displays the chapters and times so I believe the problem lies there. Is there any setting I need to change to correct this?

(I'm new to this re-authoring so any help would be appreciated)

Thanks,

I just realised what I did wrong, I copied the VTS_01.IFO from the VIDEO_TS directory that DIF4U made and overwrote the authored version from scenarist, I have another problem though, the default audio track on the original DVD was DTS which I unselected in DIF4U because of it's size, and now when I play the DVD I have to change the track before I can watch it. Is there a way to change the deafult track to the AC3?

Thanks,

Hi there,

It tells you how to do this on TRILIGHT's Tips and Tricks page here: http://dvdguides.trilight.net/

Thanks, It worked perfectly. I have a small suggestion for ReAuthorist (please move this if it's in the wrong section)

When using the auto-size feature ReAuthorist automatically sets the bit-rate for all the extras but it doesn't let you set the default number of passes, this is a little tiring when dealing with a DVD that has about 50 different PGCs (Jurassic Park 3). Other than that it's a great program, Thanks!
