Hi, I´m a newbie.
I have just finished encoding my first xvid movie. I´m trying to split it but when I load it into VDubMod I get the message:" Warning: nothing to output. Bframe decoder lag". What does this mean?
Is there any real problem with this or can I ignore it and proceed?

I have a second question: In the VirtualDub procedures guide, when speaking about splitting avi files with VirtualDub, it says: " Make also sure that you split by a keyframe, not just any frame - otherwise you might lose some frames and it'll be impossible the remerge the files if needed." How can I be sure I am splitting by a keyframe?

Many thanks for any help,

Loni Blues

In the Newbies forum Hiro2K gave you this answer:
"
In vdubmod there is a fastforard button with a key, which means fastforward to the next key frame. Use that to go only to keyframes.
"

But since you have double posted, thred has been deleted from the Newbies section.

Rule 8) No cross posting. Post your message to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning.

You're a newbie but you still should know the rules. But this time it's just a warning.

take care

I must apologize, indeed. I´m afraid I got too anxious about not getting a reply because the question might be inappropiate for the VirtualDub forum, so I posted it in Newbies forum, again.
I´m very sorry!
