WinDVD 5 is out

I was trying to fix an error I've been having with WinDVD4 when I noticed that WinDVD5 is up on intervideo's Site.

I downloaded the trial and am trying it out as we speak (crossing fingers for CVD subtitle support, but that's not likely). Based on the files it looks like it was finished sometime yesterday.

Looks like it has an IVTC option now built-in.

Can anyone confirm? (don't have time to test right now :D)

If you're talking about the "Progressive Deinterlacing" feature, it's Force Bob and Force Weave.

Anyway, how can I get this damn thing installed? it always asks me to install Microsoft MSXML parser 3.
I thought I have that already, even reinstalled again, but it still asks me after it. ¬.¬

I'm still using WinDVD3 ... can't see a reason to upgrade. Especially since WinDVD3 is the only one that lets you use custom skins instead of that ugly default skin.

Well i did the upgrade because previous version didn´t let me see subtitles from VOB file in the HD.

Of course there is, it must mean "treat as progressive".
You can see that apart from Auto, all other options are Force something, except that one, that should be labeled as "no deinterlacing".

I may be wrong, but it makes sense to me.
