Hi folks,

I recently did a job for someone where there were 8 segments (of differing lengths) that had to be placed on CD and made playable through an HTML "frontend" webpage. Easy enough, and they wanted it to be MPEG-1 VCD quality. Fine; except that the footage came through at 72 minutes long - it simply would not fit on the CD. So, I ran a the longest of the 8 segments (23 mins) thru TMPGEnc and lowered the bitrate from 1150 to 850. Perfect, and the result was acceptable. The problem now is, this one segment won't play in certain machines! (Dell Latitiude 610 laptops, to be precise). It'll play in older machines, newer machines, the whole lot, but not this specific kind - the video and audio streams get screwed up. Any ideas? Tried upgrading Windows Media Player, and it made no difference...

Thanks,

PnaG.

On 700 MB CD you can put 80 min VCD format Mpeg1. I don't know how long is other stuff in that presentation, but you can overburn it too.
Making nonstandard stuff is always risk...
