hello guys!!!,
i have a xp 2100 ,512mb DDR ,A7V333-X ...but when i encode,it takes 3 hours ???i use 2 pass encoding, 1 cd film... is that normal it take too many hours ???

Umm....
For a 30min movie no.
For a 6h movie also no for other reasons though.
Seriously, 3h of encoding doesn't mean anything. It can be fast and it can be slow depending on what you encode, how you encode it, and so on. The only thing that matters is the fps rate. And you should provide some more info on what method you are using (GKnot? vfApi? VD? maybe post the .avs - without #-lines.)
But if you're talking about a 90min movie encoded at 640x256 without filters in GKnot then I'd say that it sounds reasonable for 2 passes.
